At Christmas time, in a small house in the snowy countryside, a small boy leaps from his bed one morning and rushes outside and stars to build a snowman. He works at all day, putting on the finishing touches just as the sun goes down. He has built a magnificent snowman. The boy goes in for supper and restless sleep. At midnight, he wakes suddenly and tiptoes to the window. To his relief, the snowman is still there. Suddenly, the snowman moves and turns. The boy rushes outside and the snowman walks across the yard to him and doffs his hat and smiles.

HOME MOVIES is a hit series, seen in America on The Cartoon Network. The popular show is the story of a creative third grader, Brendon Small, who makes his own movies with a video camera. His funny "films" express his emotions and his conflicts and feature his friends, his teachers and his recently divorced mom, Paula. Brendon writes, directs acts and often enlists his neighborhood friends to participate in his short "films", much as his idol, Steven Spielberg, did as a boy.
