Sydney, the toast of New York, knows everyone, has gone everywhere and done everything. Now, her past is coming back to haunt her in the form of a down-an-out musician, Nick Rivers. Sydney has her ultra posh penthouse on the top of her loft building so that she is involved with everything that happens in the lives of her tenants - a model agency, a free medical clinic and a bar. The location shooting is a big part of THE CITY, infusing the drama with a true urban feeling.
