Stories of Assassins

Time:
60 Minutes

Since he’s been 13 years old, James has done what he calls “the art of killing” for a living. At age 26, he has a record of 18 victims; this boy who was born in Medellin, Colombia, obtained a visa to go to Spain and became part of one of the paid killers’ offices that exist in Europe 5 years ago.

STORIES OF ASSASSINS is the result of a year long journalistic investigation. Our journalists have infiltrated a multinational net of Columbian assassins that operate in Europe and the United States. The assassins have given us in depth interviews into their lives, why they do what they do, and the dangers involved.

The large number of deaths caused by this kind of illegal organization has sparked a new breed of young assassins in the past five years. This situation has motivated a group of journalists to research the origins of this business of murder, with each death affecting more and more of the everyday lives of many Western societies.

Through six stories, the assassins´ profile is described, as well as the nucleous of this problem, the temples or offices of death, the use of children to kill, the struggle of a country trying to rescue their youth from this type of violence, the process of exporting assassins, and the ways in which they operate internationally.
