A WORLD OF WONDERS is a live action series that allows young viewers to become armchair travelers as they criss-cross the globe, delighting in its wonders, cultures, colors, sounds and flavors. Throughout its seasons on the air, the crew and cast of A WORLD OF WONDERS have visited nearly 40 countries, racking up an impressive 578,000kms on six continents. For season four, the cast visits explores a glacier in the Swiss Alps, goes gorilla trekking in Rwanda, snorkels with sea turtles in the Greek islands, travels back in time at Edinburgh Castle, monkeys around in Bali, and herds reindeer in Finnish Lapland.
A WORLD OF WONDERS won a 2010 Gemini Award for Best Original Score. The series was also nominated in 2010 for Best Children’s Series. WOW has also been nominated for two Alliance for Children and Television Awards of Excellence (2009 and 2011). The series airs in some 25 countries on such networks as National Geographic Turkey, ABC Australia, Kuwait TV, TVB in Hong Kong and Al Jazeera Children’s Channel.
